Dynamic and static softening mechanisms of commercial-purity Zr during double-stage hot compressive deformation

The dynamic and static softening behavior of R60702 commercial-purity Zr was studied through single-stage double-stage uniaxial hot deformation tests in the range 600oC–800 °C. microstructural evolution to compression loading for different conditions investigated using a combination optical microscopy electron back-scattering diffraction (EBSD). results show that fraction increases with an increase temperature as well holding time. At 600 °C, peak stress second stage greater than single-stage, sample did not undergo softening. 800 less underwent rapid during As time increased at 700 decreased successively. °C 1s time, softening, recovery recrystallization occurred subsequent stage. 60s recrystallization; larger grain growth appeared This change morphology flow curve is discussed sections.
